Johnson Hobbs & Squires announces the recognition of Mark Hobbs as a 2014 Texas Super Lawyer-Rising Star by Texas Super Lawyers and Texas Monthly magazines, a Thomson Reuters service. Fewer than 2.5 percent of Texas attorneys are named to the Rising Stars list each year.

Rising Stars are selected by Texas Super Lawyers through a meticulous selection process, and must meet the publication's strict set of guidelines. Texas lawyers are asked to nominate the best attorneys age 40 or under during the selection process. In order for an attorney to be nominated, another lawyer must personally observe these individuals in action. In addition, an attorney-led research team reviews the credentials of potential candidates and assigns points based on a set of defined evaluation criteria. Those with the highest totals are named to the Rising Star list, published in the Texas Super Lawyer magazine.

Mark Hobbs is Board Certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. His primary areas of practice include estate planning, wills, trusts, probate, business succession planning, and other matters involving family wealth planning and management. He also regularly assists clients in the formation, operation, and governance of nonprofit organizations. Mark holds both a J.D. and an M.B.A. from Baylor University.
